As I Am, As You Are ✶
A collection originally inspired by the song "Come As You Are" by Nirvana, a concept based on originality and building personal style. What started as inspiration from an alt rock classic quickly transformed into so much more.
As an artist, I'm constantly developing new designs based on my current interests. What I'm wearing, what colors and styles I'm loving, where I'm traveling, all of which change on a regular basis. When I visited Hawaii this year, I creative directed a photoshoot that became the core concept of this idea I've been developing. It all makes sense to me, Hawaii will always be a place I feel deeply connected to.
This collection is meant to represent how my original style, even back in my early high school days, has always been true to my overall aesthetic. I've always gravitated towards earthy colors, shell jewelry, and simple statement pieces. I can specifically remember a necklace I wore every day in 8th grade that was a large mother of pearl circle with a butterfly etched into it. That is so representative of my aesthetic now, as well. I've always been showing up "as I am" and continue to do so.
I could go on and on about this collection, but overall, it's meant to express my personal style and how I'm sharing that with everyone to help them discover a bit of their own style as well. It's simple, straightforward, and these pieces are unlike anything I've ever made. I will keep expanding as a brand and continue to get better at my craft, all while staying true to my unique and eclectic ideas.
